ZCD Architects led an engagement programme for local school children and facilitated an engagement stall at a resident fun day. To date we have engaged with over 75 children and young people - 52 from Childeric Primary School, 12 from Deptford Green and 15 young residents.

We have tailored our processes to meet the specifics of the project, including activities such as shopkeeper interviews to find out more about the high street from the perspective of children and young people. To date, the young people have developed a Manifesto for the neighbourhood which has also involved LB Lewisham planning officers.

We were looking for architects that are not only going to engage with the steering group but also all the residents and local community. They really demonstrated a deep understanding of the importance of social value and engaging with the residents.
